Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) enthusiastically supports the Partners in Education (PIE) program. By strengthening the connection between employers and the educational force, students gain the skills they need to be successful in the workforce.
Through Partners in Education, SPI employees visit classrooms and talk about employability issues with students. Mill tours and woods tours help students understand where wood products come from. SPI also participates in PIE's summer internship program, which allows teachers to work in local businesses for two weeks during the summer. The teachers gain a better understanding of the workplace skills students need to learn. Visit Anderson High School, one of our partners in education.
