Job Description

Our Forestry Division, Sonora District has an opening for a qualified Equipment Operator to help maintain the Company’s road system and related infrastructure in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties.

About The Position
• Operate, maintain, and repair heavy equipment
• Safely operate heavy equipment including excavator, backhoe, grader, dump truck and water trucks
• Perform daily equipment maintenance and safety checks
• Advise supervisor of any needed maintenance and repairs
• Work may consist of overtime in a variety of weather conditions

• Class A License or ability to obtain Class A License within one year
• Heavy Equipment Certification from an accredited school or program is preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience operating transfers, dozers, graders, backhoes, and/ or excavators
• Knowledge of road, watercourse crossing, drainage, and erosion control construction and maintenance preferred
• Ability to navigate mountain areas using maps, GPS device and tablet
• Proven to be a reliable self-starter and safety conscious
