Currently, we are seeking a qualified Mechanical Drafter for our Fabrication Shop at our Anderson division.

About The Position
• Assist in the development and improvement of lumber processing equipment
• Turn engineering models into burn patterns, machine, fabrication and assembly drawings
• Effectively model concepts and detailed designs using 3D modeling software
• Provide direction to assemblers and machinists and work proactively with them
• Provide recommendations and creative suggestions for solutions to problems
• Coordinate the activities relative to the development of new equipment

Qualifications
• 2-5 years’ experience in the lumber industry and/or machine design preferred
• 1 year experience with SolidWorks or 3D modeling software or certification or equivalent
• Ability to continuously learn and improve knowledge of the industry and equipment
• Ability to focus on solutions rather than problems
• Excellent written, oral and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects
